Goats

I spent at least half an hour tonight telling a girl why it is that I like goats. A topic that she did not inquire about. Little wonder she said it was time to go. Good god man - if I you have to say it all, don't start there.

Yes, well, I was trying to forget about the whole scene... though outside of the specific conversation... I was a fan of the three billy goats gruff, and our goats milk came in glass bottles like the milk on Sesame Street did, which I attributed to the goats.

And there were goats that lived down the street from my friend's house, goats that everybody hated 'cause sometimes they'd get loose from their ropes and eat the neighbour's clothes off their clotheslines, but I liked them because they were always happen to see me, even if they only really wanted to eat my clothes too.

And, at petting zoo's they're one of my favourite animals, again, because they're incredibly happy to see me... so happy that they're horns are all nicked and broken from trying to ram their heads through the fence, which I guess is kinda sad, though they don't seem to mind, to me their bleatings are goat laughs.

And, they're tricky too, those goats, while you're feeding the billy and nanny goats the baby goats take the opportunity to sneak through the fence and chew on your pants. And I say, "hey goat, what are you doing down there?" and he says, "baaah" and then runs away. It's hard to write about the goats, you see, I get too excited.

Oh, I don't know, I don't think hearing about your goats is so bad. In fact, it's kinda funny. Maybe the girl you were talking to was a "checklist" girl.

Yes, maybe, though in any case, the inclusion of goats on such a list is, I think, legitimately questionable. However, I am happy that you enjoyed the goats, and funny is a good word.
